International Charter School respects the right of each student to learn in a quiet and safe environment. We believe that each student must respect the right of all other students to learn by conducting him or herself in an appropriate manner for school and following school procedures and regulations. Each student must agree to the following:
- I understand that I am responsible for my own words and actions. Whatever I do or say is my own choice;
- I will come to school prepare to learn with necessary supplies and homework completed;
- I will be courteous when speaking, listening and working with everyone in the ICST community and visitors to our school;
- I will avoid the use of cursing or profanity
- I will remain quiet in the hallways so I don’t disrupt other classrooms;
- I will not loiter in the halls or lavatories;
- I will not be in a classroom without adult supervision;
- I will request permission before leaving my classroom;
- I will keep my hands and feet to myself at all times;
- I will avoid verbal and physical confrontations;
- I will not throw objects in the classroom;
- I will take care of my school and classroom: avoid vandalism, writing on desks, in textbooks, on walls, pick up trash and report any vandalism to my teacher, the Principal, or Vice-Principal.
- During assembly programs I will conduct myself properly. I will be polite and courteous to speakers and/or performers. I should be quiet and attentive during the program. I should express their appreciation by applause only, unless directed to participate in a different manner;
- I will follow classroom rules and procedures.
